Volunteer Application
Upper Frederick Township is fortunate to have dedicated volunteers serving on multiple advisory boards and commissions:
Agricultural Advisory Committee: 1-year terms – The Agricultural Advisory Committee meets on an as-needed basis to review applications for Agricultural Security Area designation. The Committee also serves as an advisory body to the elected Board members on matters of agriculture.
Planning Commission: 4-year terms – The Planning Commission members review applications in the Land Development Process and other processes described in the Township’s Sub-Division and Land Development Ordinance. The commission also reviews and updates Township ordinances, as necessary, including the Zoning Ordinance and SALDO.
Park and Recreation Board: 3-year terms – The Park and Recreation Board members advise the Board of Supervisors on matters related to the Township’s parks and recreational spaces. The Board also assists with the planning of Township-sponsored community events.
Zoning Hearing Board: 3-year terms – The Zoning Hearing Board is a three-member board (plus one alternate member) who meet on an as-needed basis. The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial board who reviews applications for variances and exceptions from the Township’s Zoning Ordinance.
